Hazrat Maulana Muhammad Musa AlBazi was the founder of Jamia Muhammad Musa Albazi. He was born in Dera Ismail Khan, N.W.F.P., Pakistan. He became orphan at the age of seven. His mother raised him in very difficult circumstances. His mother, who was a pious and noble lady, prepared her little son to dedicate himself for learning, teaching and spreading the knowledge of Islam according to the will of his father Maulana Sher Mohammad (rahimahullah).
Sheikh Muhammad Musa Albazi rahimahullah traveled a lot in search of Hadith and for other branches of Islamic knowledge at places like Quetta, Akora Khattak and Multan. His class fellows would always say that they hardly seen him taking rest or even a nap.
He often use to say to his pupils, “I worked very hard to gain this knowledge because I wanted to be on the peak on the subjects of Tafseer, Hadith, Mantik, Adab, Islamic Philosophy, Islamic History, Islamic Astronomy, Sarf & Nahv. He said many times to his students, when I was a student at Akorra Khattak, I use to take my food, lamp and blanket at night and use to go to the desert to study there. From there, I use to come back at Fajar time. He was well versed in Arabic and the Persian language at a very young age. |
